RICS Condition Report

The RICS Condition Report has been introduced by the RICS in more recent years. Generally this report would not be used on older properties and were for example there are obvious major structural defects, or large scale refurbishment is required. Unlike the RICS Homebuyer Report the RICS Condition Report does not include a valuation nor a reinstatement cost for insurance purposes and can be useful particularly when a client has arranged for a separate mortgage valuation on the same property via a lender, a copy of which would be forwarded to the client by the lender and which would contain both a valuation and an insurance cost figure. Accordingly the cost of an RICS Condition Report is less than for an RICS Homebuyer Report.
